Job Context

ABN AMRO Clearing is designated as a mono-line company within ABN AMRO and holds its own banking license (ABN AMRO Clearing Bank NV). Globally the company consists of about 1000 FTEs and is self sufficient, organizing its own supporting organization. ABN AMRO Clearing plays an important infrastructural role in the financial markets. It has been classified by the Dutch Central Bank as a Systematically Important Financial Institution (SIFI). As such it is closely monitored by Regulators and Central Banks. This is augmented by the fact that  ABN AMRO Clearing holds significant market shares in financial markets across the globe holding top spots in clearing on numerous exchanges in every region.

IT and Business Development are working in an Agile operating model, containing one GRID with 15 different Blocks.

For the Block 'Data Analytics' we are looking for an experienced Business Developer.

Job Specific

Data Analytics is responsible for all data related IT services within ABN AMRO Clearing Bank. The team drives both the offensive and the defensive data strategy of ABN AMRO Clearing by providing the IT systems to analyse and manage data: The means to the success of our data analysts and data scientists in our business lines.

2021 is a year of ambition for Data Analytics. We are going to:
1.    Build a Data Platform in AWS, replacing our current Cloudera based on-premise data lake
2.    Implement Dataiku, our new Data Science and Machine Learning platform 
3.    Consolidating our BI tool Tableau in US, EU and APAC to one global solution
4.    Rolling out Informatica Data Quality
5.    Select and implement a Data Management tool (RFI in progress)

 

As Business Developer, you will focus on the first three, our offensive strategy. You will be working in a highly international Agile Scrum team of seven IT Engineers and one other Business Developer. You will be working closely together within the team, with IT and with our business users and stakeholders around the world. 

 

We are looking for a Business Developer that has proven experience as Business Analyst or Business Developer in the Big Data or Data Analytics environment. The ideal candidate has broad knowledge of IT, data and (advanced) analytics, and experience with change processes (CRA, PIA, SEA/ISRA). As we are in our cloud journey, we are looking for someone with experience or understanding of the ABN AMRO Cloud Approval process. You will be the driving force in this process collaborating with our IT Engineers.
 

Your Job

  • You are a strong communicator who knows what is going on within the organization;
  • You must have a positive attitude and must be a team player;
  • You are proactive and have a sense of ownership;
  • You will help the Product Owner in setting priorities and create user stories, document requirements and solutions, instruct IT Engineers and assist in testing;
  • You will drive change processes including CRA, PIA, SEA/ISRA and the Cloud Approval process;
     

Your Profile

  • HBO or University degree, ideally in IT or Finance
  • At least 3 years' experience as Business Analyst or Business Developer
  • Experience with the Agile way of working
  • Experience with cloud (AWS preferred)
  • Good understanding of Big Data concepts
  • Experience with BI tooling (Tableau preferred)
  • Skilled in SQL, Python would be excellent
  • Experience with Dataiku (or Databricks) preferred
  • Team player in a multi-cultural environment where English is the language of communication

  • A salary ranging from 47.500,- to 62.000,- per year based on a 36-hour workweek
