Your job

ABN AMRO is required by law to perform a Systematic Integrity Risk Analysis (SIRA), to get insight into the integrity risks the bank faces and to be able to act when necessary. At least once a year this is done for the whole bank. The assignment will focus on the Commercial Banking business line, which services corporate clients with a yearly turnover up to EUR 250mln.

 

SIRA is a key risk project within the bank and has grown in importance the past years due to the increasing emphasis on Integrity risks and the role of banks as a gatekeeper in the financial system. By helping on this project, you will help manage the bank its integrity risks. 

 

Your key responsibility will be being the secretary of all the SIRA workshops held with several parts of the business on several integrity risks (e.g. money laundering, terrorism financing, sanctions, duty of care, conflict of interests, cyberfraud etc.). Being the secretary, you will meet many colleagues, see different departments of the bank and get a better understanding of handling the integrity risks. Depending on availability, you can also help on other projects within the Risk Oversight and Reporting Team.

With this internship you will become a part of the Risk Oversight and Reporting Team. Our Risk Oversight and Reporting team is brand new and consists of seven colleagues with diverse backgrounds. The team is within Processes & Control and operates in the Commercial Banking (CB) business line.  Purpose of the team is to provide insight and oversight in the level of control in order to achieve the business objectives of CB.

 

Your profile

  • You are at least a HBO/BSc student.
  • Your study covers Economics, Business Administration, Risk Management, Law, Business Analytics.
  • You are enrolled at university for the entire duration of the internship.
  • You have affinity with Financial Sector and Integrity topics.
  • You can start from June 2021 onwards.
  • You are available for 3 or 4 months.

  • Communicative: You can convey information in an accurate and clear manner.
  • Curious: You do not mind stepping up to discover more and go to the extra mile.
  • Detail-oriented: You have an eye for detail, and you are used to double check everything you do in order to deliver the best outcome.
  • Dutch speaker: You have an excellent level in the language (spoken and written) is crucial.
  • Flexible: You know how to embrace changes around you and adapt successfully to them.
