Your job

Our IT Development Engineers work on large technical projects, help set the direction for our clearing and risk management application landscape and serve as role models within the organization. As IT Development Engineer, you establish vision and technical direction for major initiatives, through building large proportions of high quality and architecturally sound systems. You develop a deep understanding of trading, clearing, risk management and what the 'machine' is doing. You're not attached to tools and technologies, but you focus on solving problems. You lead the most complex projects while questioning every assumption, involving fellow Engineers and Business partners. This also means hands-on programming, testing and putting the new solutions into production. You bring clarity to complexity and demonstrate smart ways to simplify our ecosystem. Together with your team you deliver value to the business partners, aiming for stakeholder satisfaction.

You'll have a lot of freedom, but also responsibility. The scope of our systems is large and you will work on one of our most important assets. Your decisions have substantial impact on the trust in the financial market space and the flow of millions of Euros. Your actions will result in meeting obligations towards clients and regulators and extending our reputation of a trusted clearing partner.

Together we build and maintain an outstanding suite of reliable, high performing systems and applications.


The Market Risk development team consists of 17 team members, using the scrum principles for their daily discipline. Current core technology stack: Linux, Postgres, Kafka, Docker, Openshift, Atlassian Stack, C++, Python ao. Investigating cloud technology AWS. 

Your profile

•    Strong engineering instinct and a deep understanding of computer science fundamentals and mathmatical models
•    A demonstrated record of achievement as key member in large technical projects working with C++
•    Innovative, big-picture thinking grounded in real-world pragmatism 
•    Desire to continuously improve in a rapidly evolving environment 
•    Great interpersonal skills and ability to clearly express your thoughts 
•    Readiness to drive technical improvement, promote engineering principles and do the right thing 
•    Affinity with financial services and risk management
