Your job

The ABN AMRO Beeldbankieren team designs and develops the next generation of applications. Your team is responsible for the acceleration and empowerment of the digital transformation. We design, implement and support our Beeldbankieren application by using Cloud based solutions and technologies. Our goal is to provide a seamless customer journey experience and increase interaction with our customers at anywhere and any place.

As a DevOps engineer at ABN AMRO, you will not only work on the latest features. You are the linking pin between the team and other departments. You work together with the team on solving incidents, you have knowledge of the Infra and can advise the team also on architectural level. You are also responsible for monitoring of reliability of the systems and components and also enhancing our testing capabilities is part of your job description.

Our employees are using Beeldbankieren daily to have a conversation with  customers about all their bank products or questions.  We support all business lines through the bank which means that we  are growing rapidly in the number of users. You will work together with your colleagues in a scrum team in a dynamic and international atmosphere, with plenty of room for fun and growth. Your profile

We expect you to have hands-on experience with testing, programming, Cloud environments. We also expect you to be able to transform great ideas into operational functionalities. In your career as a DevOps engineer, you naturally find yourself focused on empowering your colleagues with the latest tools and educating yourself about the best practices of software maintenance and deployment.

We greatly appreciate a critical and curious outlook. You wee challenges in situations where you deviate from the beaten track.

You have:
• At least 5 years of work experience in an IT environment
• A technical background on BSc., MSc. or PhD level (or in the Netherlands HBO or WO level) for example; Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Econometrics
• Experience with Java and Java.js, Jenkins
• Experience with Cloud environments (Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, IBM Cloud)
• Experience with test tools like, Postman or Qmetry
• DevOps and CI/CD knowledge and mentality
• Experience Azure DevOps
• Experience with unit testing (e.g. Jasmine)
• Do test automation, including but not limited to API testing, performance testing, end to end testing
• Knowledge of Angular, Vue.js
• Knowledge of GIT
• Deliver production level code
• Maintain operation of production environment
• Able turn business wishes into IT solutions
• Knowledge of UX, data driven decision taking and Jira
• Experience with the Agile way of working or Scrum
• An exploratory mindset
• Characteristics of both a team player and able to work independently
• Knowledge of shift left concepts and practices
