Marketing Communications internship

Are you an Applied Sciences (HBO) student looking for a place in which you can develop yourself into the Brand /Communications expert that you aim to become? Do you want to gain work experience? As a ‘walk along’ apprentice, you will work with enthusiastic professionals who manage the ABN AMRO Clearing brand. Your work will include amongst others project support for our traineeship, managing the intranet, designing communications and facilitating events. As you will be working in a small communications team, you can definitely help make impact!

Your Job:

What you will learn:
•    You will become familiar with our international organisation and global way of working 
•    You will help structure, set up and deploy communications 
•    You will learn to set up global projects and programmes 
•    You will learn to interact with and manage internal and external stakeholders 
•    You will be onboarded as one of the team members and expected to create value for this team.

Your responsibilities include:
•    Supporting projects and events that promote our brand such as the Global Clearing Talent Programme.  
•    Maintain the communications calendar
•    Interview stakeholders to identify needs. With that, creating e.g. Customer Journeys/Service Blueprints to (visually) pinpoint where and what to change.
•    Creating PowerPoint presentations, reviewing documents and scheduling meetings.
•    drafting and editing on and offline content for intranet, presentations, events etc.
•    design dashboards to track communications efficiency
•    Engaging with relevant stakeholders to ensure projects and processes run smoothly.

Your working environment

In banking, Clearing denotes all activities from the time a commitment (buy or sell) is made for a transaction until it is settled. ABN AMRO Clearing acts as an intermediary between clients and the exchanges these clients trade on guaranteeing that the transaction takes place (like a notary when you buy a house). As a clearing bank, we process around 18 million transactions a day. We do so for professional traders, investment managers and large corporates. Given the high demands of our clients and highly volatile market, the work in ABN AMRO Clearing Bank is ever-changing and allows you to learn a lot in a short period of time. The Global Corporate Communications team is part of the Corporate Office, a multidisciplinary team based in Amsterdam, consisting of the Global Corporate Secretariat, Global Corporate Communications, Global Regulatory Affairs and the Client Contracting Unit. 
 

Your profile

•    You are preferably an applied sciences (HBO) student enrolled at a Dutch educational institution. 
•    You are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of the internship.
•    Your study covers Marketing, Communications (Digital Media) with an interest in Service Design and Customer Experience.
•    You can work with CMS systems, Excel and PowerPoint. 
•    You can start in the next few weeks.
•    You are available for 3 months minimum. Extending is possible.

Furthermore:
•    Fluent in Dutch and English (both oral and written)
•    Eager to learn, decisive, show initiative and do not hesitate to take responsibility. 
•    Excellent people and communications skills
•    Strong eye for detail and the capability to work autonomously.
•    Strong organisational skills
