Non-Financial Risk Specialist Global Markets

As a Non-Financial Risk Specialist, you are dedicated to maintain and improve the integrity of Global Markets’ processes, employees, and clients. As a Non-Financial Risk Specialist you monitor the Global Markets Risk Control framework to safeguard overall compliance with the appropriate internal and extern regulations to protect our license to operate. You are able to identify and analyse defects in the controls (including management controls) and the associated first and/or second line risks. You are able to assess the control environment through data gathering using interviews, observations, file searches, diagnoses, risk assessments, and organisational assessments. You are able to use your findings to convince relevant stakeholders that measures that have to be taken are both useful and necessary. You develop methodologies and processes that allow the business to maintain its risk appetite. You also conduct follow-up studies to assess how your advice is acted upon. Where necessary, you maintain contact with relevant regulators.

Working environment

As a Non-Financial Risk Specialist you contribute to achieving the defined goals of the Global Markets. You are advising the Global Markets Business and MT Global Markets on the risk control framework, risks and inadequacies in internal control measures and related quality improvements in reporting, documentation and processes in accordance with (legal) frameworks, regulations and guidelines of supervisors. As a Non-Financial Risk Specialist you are part of the Business & External Control and Support team. This team in itself belongs to Strategy & Business Development Global Markets. The team consists of 5 Non-Financial Risk Specialists, including 1 Domain Expert focussing on BISO. You report to the Head of Business & External Control and Support.

Your profile

Based on your expertise, you advise the business on risks, weaknesses in internal controls and related quality improvements in reports and documentation in accordance with statutory frameworks and requirements, and regulatory guidelines. You optimise the reliability of reports and you contribute to the overall effectiveness of the control framework. You have knowledge of reporting processes and financial systems, control framework, knowledge of Global Markets products and processes.
