In the Detecting Financial Crime (DFC) unit, we’ve brought together every activity the bank undertakes to detect financial crime, whether at our Dutch offices and branches, our subsidiaries in the Netherlands and elsewhere, or our challenger banks. By combining knowledge, expertise, and joining forces, we can do a better job of keeping our banking systems free of financial crime and embracing new developments. The advancing technology is both an opportunity and a threat. Not only does it help us to improve our investigative work, but it also increases the sophistication of organised crime. In short, detecting financial crime is an ongoing process that makes the highest possible demands of our expertise and alertness every single day.

 

Your job

Imagine that you are a member of the Process Design team who devotes him/herself to designing, establishing and maintaining the process architecture for Detecting Financial Crime (DFC) in ABN AMRO that is ‘fit for the future’.

 

Your ideas and expertise contribute to better and more effective work processes within DFC. In the meantime, you are also one of the change agents who is actively involved in process related discussions/activities in different projects. You will have a steep learning curve. You are not only a process modelling expert but also have an interest in detecting financial crime and the processes that support this domain.


 

Making a difference

  • The Process Architecture of DFC will be your first challenge. The main objective here is to deliver the process architecture, together with stakeholders, in ARIS Connect.
  • The new Global Standard on Business Process Management is the guiding document to this exercise. The requirements in the new Global Standard will need to be followed through for all processes and related process changes. Therefore, you work is critical to the success of our team Process Design.
  • You will be responsible for modelling the processes including roles and responsibilities, risks, controls and including mapping the IT applications to the processes.
  • You will be able to build an extensive network within ABN AMRO as you will be working with colleagues from diverse domains (e.g. business lines, subsidiaries, compliance, audit, IT).

Working environment

As Process Manager you will contribute to a future-proof foundation for an efficient and effective process architecture in DFC. Within your role as process manager you are part of the Process Design team in Innovation & Design (part of DFC), which consists of a team of about 12 members. The team members have a background in project management, DFC subject matter and business expertise. Your will work closely with colleagues in the various business lines and with colleagues in other teams in DFC. Therefore, you collaborate with stakeholders on a global level, including second line parties.

Your profile

Fitting DFC, you are a person with integrity and innovative by character, with an interest in society. You will settle for nothing less than the right thing for our clients, the bank and society as a whole.

 

Our success is driven by smart thinking combined with a hands-on, can-do mentality. Your track record shows:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field;
  • You have experience in a process design/analysis/process management related role;
  • You have experience with project management;
  • You are resilient and solution oriented;
  • You have excellent oral and written communication skills in English (mandatory) and Dutch (preferred);
  • You have experience with ARIS Connect;
  • You have experience with CCL (Module in ARIS Connect);
  • Preferably a Lean certificate (e.g. Greenbelt)
  • You have between one and four years’ work experience.
  • You advice on complex topics, contribution also to continuous improvements  in processes. 
  • You have between five to eight years’ work experience.
