Your job

As a Business Consultant of Risk Data Management & Governance you translate the requirements of laws and regulations with regard to data into a practical interpretation for the bank. Using your knowledge and competences and in collaboration with Risk Management, the business and the central data organization, you establish a framework for a transparent controlled data landscape.

You help Risk Management to provide insight into the quality of the data that they use to inform, report and manage on. Because we are going to bring the risk data management governance process to a structurally higher qualitative level, you are actively working with your colleagues to design and improve this governance. Autonomous collaboration using an agile working method is the key to success. Given the attention of the supervisors for Risk Management and Data management and the underlying data, it is a challenging and responsible position.

Your working environment

Risk Data Management & Governance is part of the Risk Data & Modelling grid which is part of the Risk Data & Analytics (RDA) department, and plays an active role for all the Risk departments. We employ 80-100 staff, all of whom share a passion for getting the most out of risk data. Our aim is to generate reliable risk data in good time. We do this by improving the risk data itself, data systems and data processes.

You will be working in the Risk Data Management & Governance team. Just like the other teams, this team consists of driven professionals. Because the department is still under construction, you are expected to actively participate in improving the way you work. The atmosphere is open and informal. We work hard, with lots of scope for enjoyment!

Your profile

You have proven ability in data analytics, data management, data modelling, data architecture and/or and/ or the implementation of legislation & regulations.

You are energetic, with a passion for combining thinking and doing. You have a handle on what’s going on in the organisation. Client focus is the main driver behind your work within the team. You take responsibility. As well as having a strong drive to maintain your own expertise, you’re keen to actively contribute to further developing and improving the area you work in. You’re energised by transferring your expertise to others and are interested in what you can learn from colleagues with other forms of expertise.

  • You’ve successfully completed a higher professional education (HBO) or degree (WO) course and have at least 5 years of relevant work experience
  • You are keen to broaden and deepen your knowledge of data, modelling, process and consultancy
  • You have a demonstrable affinity with IT and legislation & regulations
  • You embrace the agile way of working
  • You are teamwork-, innovation- and goal-orientated.
  • You have an affinity with data, modelling and risk management
  • You are data driven and analytical
  • You have good presentation skills
