Your future context

To support the Country Executive of ABN AMRO Bank Belgium we are looking for a full-time Business Manager at our Antwerp office.

As Business Manager you will support the Country Executive in the day-to-day organisation of ABN AMRO Bank - Belgian Branch.  In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor and sparring partner, you will be responsible for substantive and tactical/strategic support in the broadest sense, in the performance of tasks and responsibilities.

Your future role

  • Strategic decision support
    • Actively develop, define and monitor the implementation of strategic initiatives based on insight and input Country Executive
  • Business Management
    • Monitor the Country Executive KPIs as well as companies KPIs (Business, Risk, Audit & Compliance)
    • Prepare, take minutes of and follow up actions from the Belgian Management Team meetings: advise on the agenda and monitor the quality of submitted documents in close cooperation with the Belgian Management Team and the Executive Assistant.
    • Maintain and update stakeholder documentation such as: Country Navigator the Governance of the Belgian Branch (Corporate Secretariat)
    • Initiate, set-up and execute special assignments
    • Prepare stakeholder visits (internal/external) to the Belgian Branch
    • Prepare visit of the Country Executive to key stakeholders
    • Prepare content Townhalls

profile

  • You hold a Master’s degree in Business, Law or other relevant field or have at least
    8 years work experience, financial knowledge and a broad knowledge of the (private) banking world
  • You have knowledge of English - knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus.
  • You are able to master broad knowledge and a wide range of different topics: regulatory, product, systems, processes, procedures and have experience in regulatory / compliance processes
  • You are stress resistant, analytical, targeted. You have the ability to anticipate rapidly on changing circumstances both inside and outside the bank, which often involve high time pressure in a complex, international environment, where you regularly act autonomously and take decisions within your mandate or escalate in a timely manner.
  • You have good communication skills both oral and written, being able to translate difficult messages to a wider audience
  • You are as a Business Manager expected to be available under almost all circumstances and if necessary also outside regular working hours.
  • You are organisational, human, relational and discreet
  • You have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Powerpoint / Excel / Word) and Power BI
  • You have excellent Stakeholder Management skills
  • You have good presentation skills
