Role Purpose

 

The Electronic Client Solutions (ECS) team are responsible for managing the technical on-boarding of AAC’s complex Direct Market Access (DMA) clients. Also, as first line risk management, the ECS team assess client’s technology and operational risks over the lifetime of our relationship with Order Management System (OMS) DMA clients. The role encompasses investigating new initiatives and opportunities, evaluating their benefits against cost and requirements, and managing the delivery of successful initiatives to our clients. The role reports directly to the APAC GES ECS Manager.

 

 

Role Responsibilities

 

  • Assist in the on-boarding, testing and implementation of all new Client connectivity for electronic execution initiatives for exchange traded securities in the APAC region
  • Assist in the design and delivery of initiatives including FIX protocol DMA, DMA systems, trading terminals, and infrastructure layouts
  • Assess the quality of implemented pre- and post-trade controls, including organisation and infrastructure, at the client side
  • Initiate, coordinate, and implement Client Risk Reviews of OMS DMA clients, including assessing the implementation of management and operational controls within the client organisation, assessing the execution risk, and assessing the architecture and IT controls and development surrounding their OMS.
  • Co-ordinate projects involving trading platforms, new markets, regulatory compliance initiatives, and risk
  • Assist in the delivery of high quality presentations, timelines, reports and analysis for clients, stakeholders, and management
  • Co-ordinate amongst internal teams to ensure a timely and efficient delivery of services to Clients
  • Maintain knowledge of market developments and regulatory change as relevant to the regional execution of GES strategy and initiatives
  • Advise on and prioritise improvements to strengthen the quality of risk assurance

 

 

Role Requirements

 

  • 2-5 years of relevant working experience within the financial services industry
  • Practical working knowledge of Electronic Trading systems, FIX protocol, and EMS, OMS, ISV and trade & order lifecycle is a must
  • Practical knowledge of financial markets and regulations in APAC region
  • Good knowledge of trading connectivity and market infrastructure
  • Good knowledge of market access products, services, and market structures
  • Excellent knowledge of operational risk and auditing processes and standards
  • Knowledge of architectural principles, IT development cycle, general IT controls, IT security and business continuity management
  • A trading background would be highly regarded, but not essential
  • Strong communication skills across various hierarchical levels
