Role Purpose

 

The purpose of this role is to be the focal point for managing implementation, governance, and support of ABN AMRO Clearing APAC applications. The position is responsible to work on daily incidents as well structural improvements to our APAC application landscape by effectively analysing, planning, organizing, and leading team members in our APAC offices. Support of production applications while managing risk, workload, scope, capacity, schedule and budget is key. This position works closely with global counterparts in both Europe and the US and other departments in the delivery and support of applications to ensure that the needs of users are addressed, and continuous improvement and innovation is achieved.

 

Role Responsibilities

 

  • Manage an application portfolio and associated improvements and changes.
  • Identify opportunities for application optimisation, redesign, and process improvement.
  • Providing application support across the APAC region.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, vendors, and senior management to provide a strategic vision for new and supported applications and roadmaps.
  • Address the various needs and expectations of stakeholders in planning and executing change and new application requirements
  • Balance competing priorities and constraints including scope, quality, resources and risks to accommodate the needs of each user/customer.
  • Build a strong technical culture around our systems that emphasises innovation, technical excellence, rapid iteration, and strong cyber security.
  • Follow SDLC and ensure compliance to mitigate risk.

 

Role Requirements

 

  • Qualification in IT, preferably Computer Science or Engineering
  • 5+ years of IT experience, financial services experience is advantageous
  • Team leadership experience or at least very passionate about leading a diverse team
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of the Agile software development
  • Ability to communicate effectively across various stakeholders in different countries
  • Ability to articulate and gain engagement for ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to effectively manage workload and expectations of stakeholders
  • Passion for innovation, technology and continuous process improvement
