Your job

The Strategy Consultant aligns with the Director Business Management & Development (BM&D) on the process and content of strategic projects. You are responsible for the entire scope of strategic projects. Clarifies the objectives and manages the (stakeholder) process and content throughout strategic projects (development and execution). Understands issues and generates frameworks, logical designs and check/do analysis. You ensure high quality and timely deliverables. And you align with the Business Consultant on projects and work closely with the ABF management team, key stakeholders and directors in the Business and Function teams to generate buy-in. Besides, you play a key role in the implementation and monitoring process of the ONE ABF strategy and strategic roadmap.

Your working environment

ABN AMRO Asset Based Finance, N.V. (ABF), located in Utrecht (the Netherlands), is internationally cross border organised and has operating companies in Germany, Belgium, France, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. ABF is designed as a subsidiary of ABN AMRO Commercial Banking. ABF provides Leasing and Commercial Finance/Asset Based Lending solutions. We want to be ONE organisation providing asset based finance solutions to small, corporate and international business clients, distributing our products through omni channel, digitally (providing standard solutions and convenience) as well through personal sales (providing a coverage model for complex solutions and expertise).

You will be part of Business Management & Development (BM&D); responsible for business development in the fields of digitalisation, new sustainable value and channel propositions, product management, marketing, strategy and internal communication. BM&D activities are centralized and we are servicing our four ABF distribution channels: Direct Channel, ABN AMRO CB/CI&B clients, Vendor clients and Broker clients. Our department covers the entire ABN AMRO Asset Based Finance international countries and affiliates with a balanced organized staff of approximately 20 colleagues of which Marketers, Product developers, Product owners and Business & Strategy consultants. The BM&D team is an international team and colleagues are based in all our four countries and have different European cultural backgrounds. You will work in a team with another strategy consultant. In which you play a leading role. You also work together with the Lead Product Owners and Sr stakeholders in the business, Risk, IT etc.

Your profile

You know how to drive strategic projects and how to prioritize key topics in cooperation with management. Translating analyses (business studies) to solutions for the business and drives towards recommendations.  That is your strength. Advising business and function teams on issues that extend beyond the immediate scope of their work is your naturally way of working.

Your profile:
-Excellent academic track record (WO education – Master degree preferred).
-Background in strategy consulting or corporate strategy (in the financial sector or a strategic position at a large corporate), together with project leadership.
-You are accustomed with senior management, managing your stakeholders at this level and supervising workshops.
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
-Excellent communication & presentation skills.
-Excellent stakeholder management skills.
-Strong written and spoken English.
